High Discharge Rate Batteries
Two very special models offer excellent characteristics for applications that require very high discharge rates. Both of these models come in the shape of the popular 17Ah battery but offer up to nearly 30% more capacity.
The pbq 22HR-12 is a 22Ah batteries that is especially designed for customers requiring a battery in the shape of a standard 17Ah but with increased capacity. Imagine the case where you change your computer system and find out that a controlled shutdown takes longer than your UPS is able to deliver! Just exchange the standard batteries with the pbq 22HR-12 and you instantly gain 15% more time. Being able to deliver a 100A current during 5 minutes and much higher start-up currents makes this battery also ideally suited as a standby power source for electric motors, cooling equipment etc. Likewise, the 9Ah is built like a 7Ah while the 33Ah and 50Ah are built like standard 24Ah and 40Ah batteries.
The pbq 20HPC-12 is a 20Ah battery made for cyclic applications that will discharge the battery during short periods of time with high currents. With an internal resistance of less than 9mOhm the voltage during discharge remains higher than when using standard, cyclic or standby, batteries.
