SC-Series: 2 Volt mono block design
The SC (Single Cell) or monoblock series is made of individual cells each providing 2 Volt. By combining multiple cells in series and/or parallel, batteries of nearly every voltage and capacity can be made. Depending on the actual capacity of the cell, one, two or four connection points for the positive and negative connection are available.
Due to the flexible design, the final shape of the battery can be adapted to the space available. Since the cells can be placed in any direction, creating a system with all connection on the front enables easy checking of individual cell voltages and the torque of the connections.
In answer to the ever increasing demand in the market for longer battery life, pbq has a complete series of 2 Volt mono block cells with an excellent price/performance ratio. The pbq ‘SC-series’ is designed for a functional life of 13 years under float conditions in accordance to the EUROBAT specifications.
Solar systems
The pbq LongLife series is being used for many applications but solar applications have taken an large part of these batteries during the last few years. Since most solar user want to know the capacity when discharged during a period of 100 hours, the datasheets will be modified shortly to include this information. However, in the mean time please add 18-20% to the C/20 capacity to get the 100Hr. discharge capacity.
